This Privacy Policy describes how Ticker INVESTigator, operated by Elijah Charles Attlesperger, an individual doing business as Ticker INVESTigator ("we," "us," or "our"), based in Florida, United States, collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and Service.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: the email address and password you provide at signup. Passwords are stored as a one-way cryptographic hash (bcrypt) — we cannot see or recover your actual password.
• Portfolio data: ticker symbols and share counts you choose to enter, tied to your account, stored so the Portfolio feature can be shown back to you across visits and devices.
• Billing information: your subscription status and billing history are managed by Stripe, Inc., our payment processor. We do not store your full card number, expiration date, or CVC on our servers — Stripe handles and stores that directly under its own security and privacy practices.
• Technical/usage data: your IP address, used only to apply rate limits that prevent abuse of the Service, and not for advertising or cross-site tracking.
• Session cookie: a single essential cookie used to keep you logged in between page visits.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information above to: create and secure your account and login session; provide the tool and Portfolio features you request; process subscription billing through Stripe; apply rate limits to prevent abuse; and communicate with you about your account (e.g., a billing issue) when necessary. We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

To operate the Service, we rely on the following third parties, each of which processes certain data under its own privacy policy:

• Stripe, Inc. — payment processing and subscription billing. Stripe receives your payment card details directly; we never see or store your full card number.
• Financial Modeling Prep (FMP) — source of the stock market data, company profiles, news headlines, and earnings call transcripts displayed in the tool. We send FMP the ticker symbols you search; we do not send FMP your account email or identity.
• Anthropic — used to generate the optional AI news and earnings-call summaries shown in the tool. Headline text and transcript excerpts are sent to Anthropic to generate these summaries; your account email or identity is not included in that request.
• Supabase — hosts our Postgres database, where your account and portfolio data is stored.
• Render — hosts the application server itself.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account and portfolio data for as long as your account remains active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, email elijah.014@hotmail.com from the email address on your account and we will delete it, typically within 14 days, except where we're required to retain billing records by law (for example, tax record-keeping requirements).

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing elijah.014@hotmail.com. If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or the CCPA respectively (such as the right to data portability or to opt out of certain data uses); contact us at the email above to exercise them and we will respond within the time required by the applicable law.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical safeguards to protect your data, including password hashing, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and restricting database access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. International Users

Our servers and service providers are located in the United States and Canada. If you use the Service from outside these countries, your information will be transferred to and processed in these countries, which may have different data protection laws than your own.

8. Cookies

We use a single essential session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is required for the Service to function and is not used for advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking. We do not currently use any third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at elijah.014@hotmail.com and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
